Aims and Objectives
- The aim of the course is to provide delegates
with a broad knowledge of the maritime
industry and deeper knowledge of maritime
law, trade and insurance with regulatory,
financial, operational and technical dimensions.
- The course is intensive and consists of 10 modules
taught in 3 separate weeks in interactive
rather than lecture style and includes workshops.
- The length of the whole course is 15 days.
The basic unit is one module of 1 or 2 days.
- Every module is designed to examine each subject
in sufficient detail and it can stand alone.
- A delegate may choose to attend from 1 to 10
modules. Multiple corporate bookings of the
complete course need not specify the delegates’
names at the time of booking.
- At the end of the course, delegates will have:
- an enhanced commercial understanding of
the role of the maritime sectors in shipping
business
- particular knowledge of maritime law and
related subjects
- an option of an oral assessment by LSLC
Faculty 2 weeks after completion of Part I
and/or Part II of the course.
